Position Summary:
We are searching for a person to manage aftermarket support for our fuel cell power units currently installed in electric lift trucks, as well as for future installations. This position will report to the Director of Retail Operations and is based in Sidney, Ohio. This person will be responsible for overseeing the aftermarket support for fuel cell power units at all customer locations as well as taking a lead role in the setup of new service facilities. He/she will establish metrics for quality, service coverage, parts availability, cost control, etc. and provide strategies to achieve these metrics. This person will supervise one or more regional service technicians, manage customer relations, assess customer expectations and resolve problems concerning aftermarket issues. He/She will also manage the requirements for and conduct of operator and service technician training. This person will also assist in performing detailed surveys of customer sites and fleets. He/She will also be responsible for assuring that fuel cell operation and service information feedback is being provided to the appropriate people in the product development, engineering and manufacturing areas. He/she will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring of service personnel. This position presents a great amount of exposure to customer personnel and field service technicians and thus requires a person with excellent technical skills as well as communication, interpersonal and motivational skills. Considerable travel may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
oEstablish service and parts related metrics and monitor compliance
oPerform detailed surveys of potential customer sites and lift truck fleets
oRegular travel to customer sites after the installation fuel cell power units to assess customer expectations, service performance and correct deficiencies
oTroubleshoot technical problems on fuel cell power units
oOversee emergency service support to customers as required
oSupervise other personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance and service of fuel cells
oManage the administration of operator and service training for both dealer and customer service technicians
oApprove the purchase of tools, equipment and parts for customer service and support as required
oMay require supervision of technicians performing troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen storage, delivery and fueling systems
oMaintain ongoing communication with customer personnel regarding aftermarket support of fuel cells
oAssure regular feedback to company management regarding fuel cell power unit performance and field maintenance issues
oRecruit, interview and hire service personnel

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sales Organization, the Technical Consultant will assume responsibility as the key technical interface to the potential clients, current end-users, OEM’s and distribution partners. Successful candidates will combine their technical acumen, sales experience and skills to generate revenue and provide technical support for the Plug Power Sales team distribution partners, and provide input on new product development or current technology needs or fixes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Complete account specific engineering assessments to screen potential sales opportunities for product deficiencies and/or required modifications
•Provide technical support to Account Managers on conference calls and outside appointments
•Conduct pre-sale site surveys to obtain analysis and design requirements to formulate solution based proposals
•Provide pre-sale application engineering support to engineers and technicians at key accounts, positioning the product as a value-added solution for the customer.
•Maintain expert knowledge level of product specifications, operational procedures and maintenance requirements through training courses provided by others (Training Dept.) and self-study
•Attend and support trade shows to promote plug power products and services
•Develop technical proposals and presentations in support of solution based selling activities
•Lead internal cross functional teams during the development and implementation phase of the solution based sales process
•Investigate potential sales opportunities and funnel information to the Marketing department.
•Provide post-sale support for customer installations that includes technical support, project management, construction and commissioning. (Customer Ops) and build customer relationships.
•Assist if needed in the development of training material, collaterals and press announcements development
•Assist and provide input on pricing for proposals
•Assist in the evaluation /recommendations product changes or modification.
• Engineering Interface –, Product requirement changes, development and coordination of new specifications and clarifications
•Channel Activities – coordination of marketing, training, pricing and warranty activities
•Marketing Strategy – work with product positioning and coordination of product announcements

Summary:
The Project Controls Specialist will provide support to the Department of Energy in project management support functions including, but not limited to, baseline validation and review, estimating, planning, scheduling, and project performance assessment. The PC Specialist will also support internal and external project reviews and validations. In this role, the applicant will also be responsible for conducting and coordinating internal reviews and developing necessary corrective action recommendations in preparation for critical decision approval and project optimization. Provide support to the project management team in the form of project scheduling, monitoring and analysis. Work closely with project management team in setting project goals and analyzing the status of projects. Candidate is responsible for insuring the timely creation and maintenance of project schedules and reports. Must be able to integrate construction or Department of Energy “DOE” schedules into a master program schedule and continuously monitor progress with milestones and autonomy as well as develop and implement a monthly earned value analysis report. Create, monitor and maintain multiple schedules using Primavera. Aid the team in defining the projects goals, objectives, success factors etc.
Job Duties:
•Comparing actual performance with planned performance;
•Validating contractor identified corrective actions;
•Ensuring that federal project documentation is maintained over project/program life cycle;
•Conducting project management briefings and preparing reports to reflect program/project status, cost and schedule trends, funding and project uncertainties;
•Support in assessing M&O contractor readiness for OECM review and certification of the M&O contractor’s Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
•Support in review and validating the M&O contractor baseline (scope definition, cost estimating, BCWS profile, and schedule) in preparation for OECM review and Critical Decision 2.
•Review and evaluation of M&O contractor EVM project performance reports, including identification of trends and recommend corrective actions to the DOE Federal Project Director (FPD).
•Periodic review and assessment of M&O contractor compliance with their EVMS description.
•Monthly input of EVM data into DOE’s Performance Assessment and Reporting System (PARS).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•4 year degree required
•Minimum 10 years experience in Project Controls providing cost estimates, planning/scheduling, baseline review, development and maintenance.
•Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
•Experience with Cost Estimating software tools
•Experience with Primavera 5.0
•Travel may be extensive depending on clients needs.

* May be assigned manufacturing engineering projects requiring development of specification, purchase, supplier management, installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Engineering.
* Minimum of 5+ years of engineering and/or supply chain management experience.
* Minimum of 5+ years experience in a project leadership position within an engineering, manufacturing or supply chain function.
* Minimum of 5+ years experience reading and understanding technical specifications, blueprints and bills of material.
Eligibility Requirements:
* Ability to maneuver, stand, and work on the shop floor of a large manufacturing facility for up to 4 hours at a time.
